Yes, I vanished, yet again, except for some brief announcements. It’ll probably happen again. I get really busy and the first thing that goes is blogging. I’m not sure why that is, though I suspect it has something to do with deadlines taking priority and I’ve had a lot recently! This is a good thing π
I’ve also been doing a lot of herding with my Dog, Kira. She’s well on her way to her second AKC title. I hope to complete it the first weekend of October. That has also taken up a lot of time. Kira is the little Border Collie, not the German Shepard. Owen was her partner in this team event.
Edits on Summer Break Blues are well underway. I have my final round from the Senior Editor open in Word and will tackle those after I’m done blogging. We hope for an October release date… which means blog tour! I’ve done lots of editing on my old Doc stories and my new Doc story, The Moths of Miller Place. I’m slowly publishing the old stories as my friend Kimberly Carmen of Night Lily Design creates covers for them. That takes a fair amount of time. I also have my Steampunk, Serpent Queen, almost ready to go. I hope for an October release date of that as well. These are all being published by Inkwolf Press.
My short story about Brown the Ghost-Hunting Dog, who just happens to be Doc’s ancestor, was accepted by the anthology, Gunslingers and Ghost Stories. No release date yet, but this anthology will be print and possibly ebook. I’m super excited about that.
I’ve reworked and submitted Tales of the Travelers (Arabian Dreams) again. Everyone cross your fingers.
Now I’m working on edits for SBB, A new Dragon short story for an anthology submission and a Doc Halloween story and Maybe a Brown Halloween story, and the last Clanless novel, tentatively titled Freshman Year Freaks.
I will try to keep you all posted on how that’s going π
In the meantime, check out Moths of Miller Place and Camping Tails, now avail on Amazon and Barnes and Noble (Moths Camping Tails).Β We’ve raised almost $30 (I may be over this as I know a few people have bought books since last I totaled) for the Wolf Sanctuary fund raiser.
Kira has trained the human exquisitely. They manage to work incredibly well together, despite the human only having half the number of legs. π
Busy, busy, busy! You have an unbelievable amount on. Good luck meeting all your deadlines, and having some downtime so you don’t implode. You are up for an exciting month or two, and I hope it goes smoothly and you enjoy success with all your projects.
LOL, yes, she has trained me well. It is kind of unbelievable… I’m mostly trying not to think about it. And thanks!!! Yes, downtime is necessary, but a luxury right now. π
Nice job with Kira! I’ve been flipping between trialing my advanced dog and keeping all my projects going as well but your schedule looks way busier than mine!! LOL Keep up the excellent work.
Kira’s so awesome. Thanks! I hope to have Kira Trialing advanced by this time next year π Thanks for dropping in.
Julie
Congrats on the training success Kira. May your hummie know what she is meant to do soon. Will have to get a wriggle on with a bit more writing soon although I will have some time off towards the end of the year hopefully.
Kira is trying to train me… lol. She’s better at herding than I am though. Good luck with the writing! I’m not sure what time off is, but it sounds lovely. Good luck with that!
