Pg 77 of Sabaska’s Quest
“You’re not going in alone,” Anna said.
“Anna, we don’t have a choice. There’s no other way.”
“Hello, little brother.”
Cahir’s eyes went wide and he sprang to his feet.
Twisting around despite the twinges of pain in her back, Anna gasped when she saw Cathleen standing by them. She must have used magic to sneak up on them.
Anna has almost forgotten her travels to different worlds and fantastic yet dangerous adventures of last summer. Little things, like the twinge of pain from her healing ribs, and a few relics remind her that her journeys did actually occur. Then Sabaska returns, bringing old friends back into her life. To help Sabaska, Anna must attempt to rescue captured Travelers from a Vanir stronghold, and still get home in time for school. Though that task is easy compared to dealing with her mixed feelings for Cahir.
That’s just the beginning of the challenges she and her friends, new and old, will face as they uncover a Vanir plot to recover a powerful mage. He could tip the balance of the war in either side’s favor and it’s up to Sabaska and Anna to get there first.
And since Angela McPherson tagged me, I’ll share her lines too.
This is from her forthcoming novel, Distraction, a new adult romance.
I watched her closely, wondering why the uncertainty in her voice. “No, not yet. I’ll wait until after I’ve talked to the coaches there. I still haven’t heard from them, officially anyway.”
“Oh.” Kellie perked up. “Maybe you should call them.”
“I will, but not right now. I’ve got some last minute studying to do before my finals next week.”
“Okay. Do you need help?” Kellie’s words sounded more like a purr. She moved closer, trailing her fingers down my chest.
