Book Review – Panty Raid at Zombie High

Panty Raid at Zombie High by Rusty Fisher.
Five Stars!

I’ve read some of Rusty Fisher’s other stories and he never disappoints. His writing is tight, his imagery is good and I will never look at a turkey dinner the same way again after reading Panty Raid. Somehow, he makes being a zombie… cool…

It’s always hard when two friends are hot over the same girl, especially one who happens to be their best friend. Still friendships are maintained until the unthinkable happens… the Toby’s two best friends, Molly and Spud, miss the opening night of their favorite horror flick, Space Vampires 4. Then Molly goes missing. Spud and Toby believe she’s been taken to Zombie High – the zombie rehabilitation school. They concoct an elaborate plan involving a panty raid to rescue her but even with a couple of dumb jocks along for muscle, will anyone make it out of Zombie High alive? A great tale of friendship, zombies and deadly danger.

Nice blog, good reviews! Thank you for sharing! Yet, I couldn’t refrain from posting an opinion of mine ;)… I think every author should strive to create new creatures, the classical, öld like zombies, vampires, elves, dwarfs, wizards with sharp hats, fairies, etc. are too ordinary already? we could see and read about them in almost any book in the genre? That’s why I try some new in some of my books (weightless korks, glowing, living balls, Brown faces, fiery men, one-eyeds, night fruit, rock pieces, fish-keepers, etc…), do you think I’m right? Yes, the most important is the plot and the good writing skills, yet some new characters would bring fresh “blodd” in the stories?
Best wishes, keep the good work going! Let the wonderful noise of the sea always sounds in your ears! (a greeting of the water dragons’ hunters).

    • Thanks for dropping in.
Personally I think that authors should write what they enjoy reading. If they want to make up new creatures and that’s their cup of tea, that’s great. A lot of authors enjoy making new twists on old favorites and trust me… Rusty’s zombies are unique.

      Thanks,
      Julie
