Book Contest – Happy Halloween

Because I love Halloween, and my birthday is shortly after it I’m running a contest.  I’m going to give away four books over the next four weeks.  All you have to do to enter is leave a comment.  You may gain one additional entry by posting this contest somewhere and then leaving a link in your comment.  Please try and post in places where it hasn’t yet been posted.  Thanks!  Winners will be chosen by random.org.

For this book anyone in the US may chose either a hard copy or a digital copy.  I’m sorry but anyone outside of the US must chose the digital copy.  This contest will run from today until Friday night.  The winner will be posted on Saturday and the next book giveaway will be posted on Sunday.

The first book I want to give away is Kelley Armstrong’s Bitten.  I love the book and Kelley has had a huge impact on my writing life.  Her forum and online writing group are largely responsible for my skill today.

From the back cover: Elena Michaels seems like the typically strong and sexy modern woman.  She lives with her architect boyfriend, writes for a popular newspaper, and works out at the gym.  She’s also a werewolf.

Elena has done all she can to assimilate to the human world, but the man whose bite changed her existence forever, and his legacy, continue to haunt her.  Thrown into a desperate war for survival that tests her allegiance to a secret clan of werewolves, Elena must reckon with who, and what, she is in this passionate, page-turning novel.

Thanks for stopping by!

There once was a little girl who was lost as to what to do.
She picked up a book and got lost in another world.
All the pain and suffering that was out side did not hurt her anymore.
When she finished the first book she read another.
That little girl soon grew up and didn’t hurt anymore
So, she decided to write stories of her own.
She wanted to give the escape she found to someone else.
So that is what she set out to do.
So this is me how about you?

One of these days I’ll finally get around to actually reading Bitten. Like the rest of KA’s books I’ve read pretty much everything in the series but the beginning, for whatever reason

  6. It’s pretty awesome! Thanks for stopping by Shanah.

Sounds like an interesting book. Not too often do you hear about female werewolves. I’m not sure where else I can post your site, but I will re-post it to my facebook, and put it on my myspace site (not that anyone myspaces anymore, but it might help…)
